Forgotten password
If you have forgotten your password or the password you entered does not work, use the Forgot Password function. The system will automatically send the first notification message to the email address associated with your ID with the received password reset request
The Password Change notification email contains the user ID, name, email address and a link to reset the password. In order for the system to automatically send you the changed password in the next notification email, you must click on this link. After you successfully click the link, you will be notified on the page that your password has been changed and sent to your email.
You will then receive a second New Password notification message in your email containing the User ID and Password.
An Inactive hyperlink to reset your password
If the password reset hyperlink is not active, it is because you have set the plain text function in your email box and not html. In this case you need to contact the relevant office of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic
Password expiration
If you are logging into eCollection for the first time after December 1st, 2020, you will automatically be prompted by the system to enter and confirm a new password. You will see the window appear: "Your password has expired, please change your password. The new password is valid for three years.".
The email you enter in the window Your password has expired, please change it:
- it will be reflected in the Edit user profile section,
- the system sends a confirmation message to it, which is required when resetting a forgotten password,
- the system sends automatic notification messages.
The email will be automatically pre-populated in the window box if you already have an email address filled in our system. It is then not a requirement that the person entering the new password must also necessarily change the email address to their own, if it does not match the email offered by the system.
You enter a new password that must meet all the criteria listed in the window. Re-enter the new password in the Confirm Password box and click Change Password. If you use the Suggest Password feature, the system will generate an automatic password for you. To view a specific password, click the eye icon located to the right in the New Password and Confirm Password boxes.
Pay particular attention to the entry of special characters. We recommend that you check in advance whether the character you want will be displayed when you press the key (using the eye function). This will prevent you from misspelling characters in your password the next time you log in.
The most common login problems
Keyboard typo when entering password
This is most often an error when entering a mandatory special character when logging in again. In this case, use the eye function to display the hidden password in the login field where you log in to the system or copy the password on your PC, for example on a notepad, where you can see the characters in the password.
Some employees change their password and do not inform colleagues
In case there are several employees working in your company in the Electronic Collection, to avoid the above mentioned problem our system offers you the User Management tool, where you can create and manage additional users within your user profile, i.e. any accounts with their own user identifier, password and e-mail address with the possibility of assigning the necessary rights for the account in question.
Automatic password remembering
Clearing the browser cache before logging in again can also play a role in the failure to log in again, and also if you are using the automatic password remembering feature on your computer browser and remembering a new password does not take place.
Absent email address
The email address will be reflected in the Edit User Profile section. The system sends a confirmation message to this email, which is required when resetting a forgotten password, as well as automatic notifications that keep you informed throughout the entire process of the statistical survey you have been included in.
You don't know the email address or it is no longer available
If you do not have an e-mail contact listed in our system, or you do not know what e-mail contact is registered to your account, or if it is unvailable, please contact the Department of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, which processes your eForm.
The contacted Department of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic will send you a request, in which you will provide an e-mail address for the reporting unit defined by the identification number of the organisation . The employee of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic will complete and save the e-mail you have provided in the statistical information system for the given organisation ID number. Next, you proceed via the Forgotten password menu by entering your e-mail address.
You will receive a link to reset your password, when clicked, will confirm that new password has been generated. New password will be delivered to the email address you enetered. This is your access password to the Electronic Data Collection.
Supported browsers and clearing the cache
For Internet applications such as Electronic Data Collection, it is very important that the user regularly clears their browser cache (if they do not have this function set to auto-clean) because the browser cache can affect the functionality of the application. For example, in eCollection, this affects eForm, where for example loading a statistical questionnaire, the functionality of the dialer menu, possibly offering invalid dialer entries on the questionnaire (the browser remembers this from the past), and so on, can be incorrect.
For instructions on clearing the browser cache, you can use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+Delete to access a window to clear your browsing data.
eForm locked
The message eForm is locked by the user is displayed if the work with the eForm has not been correctly completed or the eForm is opened elsewhere.
The survey questionnaire or new filled in questionnare is not displayed for the next period
After login to the aplication you do not see the survey questionnaire or new questionnaire for the next period.
The filled in questionnaire can not be submitted or saved as work in progress
The questionnaire cannot be sent or saved as a work in progress in case of a Blocking Error. You can find the error warning in the Error Messages tab.
