New, optimized website Statistical data collection
08.05.2023
The Statistical Data Collection website was created to provide a main information space not only for users of electronic statistical data collection (eCollection).
The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic has launched a new, optimized website for the collection of statistical data. Part of the content of the main website of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic has been moved to the new site in order to make the new website the main information space not only for users of the electronic collection of statistical data (eCollection).
What is meant by optimization?
The website is optimized in accordance with the ID-SK Frontend Unified Design Manual for Electronic Services and Websites. The aim of the manual is to unify user interfaces and the way of communication with the user of electronic services in Slovakia. The websites should not impose major or any obstacles in their use, they should respect the needs of the user, taking into account the possible use of assistive technologies.
What topics and services does the website cover?
The collection of statistical data is a broad topic. In the context of data collection, information on the National Statistical System, the European Statistical System, the Programme of State Statistical Surveys, the European Statistical Programme, metadata and the Business Register are also concentrated on the website.
Guidelines have been prepared for respondents, which are clearly organised into sections in order of importance and relevance. In order to be easily accessible and easy to follow, they are placed on the homepage under the link to enter the electronic data collection.
Significantly improved features include global search not only over the content of web pages. Existing services, including notifications to statistical code lists, remain in the service menu. The notification service requires registration to the website. Respondents do not need to register as they log in using the login details valid for logging in to electronic data collection (eCollection).
